Just like her sister, Astrid is big of size. However, in contrast to Lagertha, Astrid is a gentle soul.

She isn't the one to start things and picks her battles very carefully. A thinker before doer is a good description of this lady. You can often see her wandering alone all by her lonesome instead of trying to heckle on any of the others.

Famous for refusing to marry Erling Skjalgson, one of Norway's most powerful chieftains, together with other incidences, Astrid was told to be a strong independent lady which did what she wanted to.

She was of blue blood and the sister of the ruling king. She had powerful relatives on all corners and if one takes a look at her family tree her great grand father was supposedly the famous Harald Hairfair. The man who is known for gathering the whole of Norway into one kingdom.

To summarise Astrid was said to be the most important and powerful woman in the districts or at least on the west-coast of Norway.
